Christoph Fark was born in Telgte, Germany in 1970. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering and industrial engineering and management.
Fark began his career with KERMI GmbH in 1997. In 2003, he joined SCHOTT as Head of Marketing and later on as Head of Marketing and Sales for the solar thermal business. In this role, he was responsible for the worldwide market launch of a solar hot water collector. In 2007 he became Vice President Marketing & Sales for a key component for parabolic trough powerplants at SCHOTT Solar, where he built up markets in Spain, the US and Middle East.
In 2008, Christoph Fark took over as General Manager of SCHOTT Solar CSP GmbH. Starting in summer 2010, he continued to manage the business as independent business segment of SCHOTT AG.
In 2010, Christoph Fark was named Vice President Corporate Strategy & Development of SCHOTT AG. In this role, he managed the Group's business portfolio and supported the Board and the business units regarding strategic projects and issues.
2014 until 2019, Christoph Fark headed the Business Unit Advanced Optics at SCHOTT AG. In this role he was responsible for the restructuring and strategic reorientation of the business unit as well as the establishment of the new businesses (e.g. Augmented Reality).
Christoph Fark is married and has two children.
