How do the company and college phases alternate?

During the training, we attend a vocational school like all other trainees of our profession. At college, our course has the same phases as that of normal students: We go to college for a whole semester (usually four months) and work for the company for two to three months afterwards.

What is special about the dual system organised by Heraeus?

Heraeus is particularly anxious to provide mentor assistance at any time including the theory phases. And we can opt in for many extra qualifications such as English courses or a computer licence.

What are your plans for the time after the dual course at Heraeus'?

When my dual course of studies is over I would like to put the skills and knowledge I acquired into working for Heraeus.

Heraeus advertises its slogan "Open Space. For Open Minds.®": What does that mean for you?

It means that I can fully explore and develop my talent and make my work a contribution to the company. For example, I had the opportunity of participating in the planning of the 2015 Training Night and organising a presentation of the "Dual Education System" which I was given free rein to do while being taken seriously.

In a word – what does working for Heraeus mean to you?
