The selection was made across 20 sectors and industries: from the automotive industry to energy and the environment to the healthcare sector. A good 3,700 innovation experts were surveyed to evaluate companies in their sectors. From a total of 1,849 candidates, the panel filtered out 466 companies that are considered particularly innovative. 134 candidates achieved results in the top quarter of the pre-selection and thus achieved the maximum rating of five stars.
