Heraeus Noblelight receives 1st prize at the German Award for Sustainability in the field of environmental protection and health
On June 9, the German Award for Sustainability Projects was presented at a climate-neutral event in Berlin. The sponsors - the German Institute for Service Quality, the news channel ntv and the DUP UNTERNEHMER magazine - awarded prizes to projects from all sectors of the economy that implement sustainability in an exemplary manner.
Heraeus Noblelight received 1st prize in the Environmental Protection and Health category for the project "Soluva® Air: UV air disinfection for schools, kindergartens, nursing homes, waiting rooms, public transport".
A jury evaluated the submitted sustainability projects based on four focus areas: Impact/benefit of the project, innovation, relevance to the company's core business and the industry, and timeliness. The patron of the award is Brigitte Zypries, former German Minister of Justice and Economics,
UV disinfection cleans safely and is fit for the future
Air purification with UV light is very efficient protection against corona viruses and other dangerous germs.
Equipment with UV disinfection is proven to destroy more than 99% of the viruses in the air.
UV-C disinfection is also chemical-free, dry and highly efficient. Using UV disinfection equipment minimizes the use of chemical agents.
Unlike HEPA filter devices, there is no need to replace filters because Heraeus Noblelight's UV lamps last reliably for about 16,000 hours.
