The Heraeus Precious Metals Forum, held for the first time in Korea, underlines the relevance of precious metals for economic growth and sustainability in Korea and Asia. The forum serves as a platform for analyzing domestic economic trends and exchanging views on the current status and prospects of the precious metals industry. Global executives from the Heraeus Precious Metals division will join specialists on the domestic and international economy and precious metals industry and present various topics at the forum.

“The Heraeus Precious Metals Forum is a new service for our Korean customers, an event to enable players in the precious metals business to share information and discuss economic trends and prospects,” says Hans-Guenter Ritter, Global Head of Trading and Executive Vice President at Heraeus Precious Metals. “It is also a networking platform where experts and people from the industry can gather to discuss issues related to the precious metal market,” he adds, emphasizing the significance of the forum.

“The Heraeus Precious Metals Forum is held annually in areas where major business sites of Heraeus are located, and I’m very glad it will be held in Korea this year,” says Steve Jang, CEO of Heraeus Korea. “This underlines Heraeus’s commitment to Korea. Customers of Heraeus Precious Metals in Korea will benefit from the event as a forum where participants can learn insights about the current status and prospects of the precious metals market in Korea and in Asia.”

Hans-Guenter Ritter will give a keynote speech on “Factors Influencing Gold in 2018”. Stephen Forrest, Chairman, Principal Consultant & Engineer at SFA Oxford Limited based in UK, one of the world’s leading commodity consultancies, will present on “Platinum-Group Metal Markets: Asia’s Impact, Now and in the Future”. Dr. Byeong-ho Gong, CEO of Gong Byeong-ho Lab and Eun-ae Cho, professor at KAIST, will talk about “Prospects of the World Economy and the Korean Economy’s Mega Trends” and “Fuel Cells and Platinum Electrocatalysts”, respectively.
