Heraeus to Introduce SOL9631 Series and New Double Printing Pastes at the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition

Hanau - Germany; September 08, 2015

Heraeus to highlight new metallization pastes for conventional and advanced cell design solar cells

The Heraeus Photovoltaics Global Business Unit will be attending the 29th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition [EU PVSEC 2015] at the Congress Center Hamburg, in Hamburg, Germany from September 15th – 17th 2015. Exhibiting in Hall H, Booth F4. Heraeus will be introducing several new metallization pastes to the market.

For conventional solar cells, Heraeus will be introducing the SOL9631 Series. Leveraging its strengthened patent portfolio, this new series of paste was formulated using tellurium glass frit, which is known for improving the paste performance of solar cells. In extensive internal and customer testing against Heraeus’ SOL9621 Series for conventional solar cells, the SOL9631 Series has demonstrated higher absolute cell efficiencies due to reduced contact resistance, higher fill factor and higher open circuit voltage. The SOL9631 Series also demonstrates an increased adhesion of 1 newton and excellent aged adhesion.

Heraeus will also introduce their SOL9622 Double Printing Series of metallization pastes. Formulated specifically for double printing applications, results from customers have shown up to a 0.1% improvement in cell efficiency gains relative to Heraeus’ SOL9621 Series used in double printing applications. Reduced pastes usage which achieving these higher cell efficiencies is another benefit of the new paste for double printing applications.

To obtain more detailed information regarding pastes for the above applications along with PERC, n-Type or other advance cell designs, meet the Heraeus Photovoltaics Global Business Unit team at this year’s EU PVSEC at the Congress Center Hamburg, in Hamburg, Germany from September 15th – 17th 2015. Exhibiting in Hall H, Booth F4.
