Jan Rinnert was born in Oldenburg/Holstein in 1968. Following his training to become a reserve officer, Jan Rinnert earned his degrees in business administration and law.
After that, he was appointed spokesman of the Senator of Economic Affairs of the Free and Hanseatic City of Bremen and then served as a management consultant at a leading international management consulting firm. From 2002 to 2004, Jan Rinnert was the managing director of Titan-Aluminium-Feinguß GmbH in the Sauerland region.
In 2004 he joined the Heraeus Group and headed Heraeus Kulzer GmbH as managing director until 2007. Rinnert has been a Member of the Board of Managing Directors of Heraeus Holding GmbH since August 2007 and was appointed chairman of the company's Board of Managing Directors in June 2013.
In addition to his Heraeus responsibilities, Mr. Rinnert is involved in various family businesses and organisations as a member of supervisory and advisory boards and as a trustee and foundation chairman.
Jan Rinnert is married and has three children.
