The applications of UV LED light sources have been growing and keep growing due to existing and new markets as LEDs do not emit infrared irradiation. Due to the low temperature load on the substrate even heat-sensitive materials can be irradiated. Different wavelengths ensure a safe and fast curing or drying.
On top as LEDs do not need any warm-up phase, the LED lamp heads can be switched on and off as often as required and they are immediately ready for operation at any time. Generally two big differences can be made, while choosing the right system for an application.
Depending on the process the UV LED shall be implemented the cooling technology needs to be either air or water cooling. While water cooling offers high power solutions in challenging industrial environments, air cooling offers easy and fast integration.
