UV low pressure lamps

Heraeus Noblelight offers a broad range of UV low-pressure lamps manufactured from high quality quartz glass for disinfecting water, air and surfaces. If synthetic quartz glass is used as the lamp material, 185 nm UV radiation (vacuum UV) is emitted in addition to 254 nm for oxidation processes such as the reduction of pollutants, odors and grease.

UV low-pressure lamps are available in various lengths, with various end connectors and in rod or U-shapes. U-shaped lamps offer higher output in a compact design.

  • High-efficiency low-pressure mercury lamps offer 30% to 60% higher output at a spectral output of 254 nm and are ozone-free.
  • Standard low-pressure mercury lamps made of synthetic or natural quartz glass have spectral output at 254 nm and 185 nm and are ozone-generating.
