Family Weekend
Leinsweiler Hof
On March 6 and 7, 2026, 29 young people aged 15 to 29 gathered for this year’s Youngsters Meeting. In addition to sharing ideas, the event focused primarily on looking back at the past and looking ahead to the future.
Following a virtual journey back in time to Frankfurt in 1891 with TimeRide Frankfurt, the second day of the event was dedicated to the topics of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Interactive activities such as a social engineering game and an AI prompting challenge provided participants with exciting insights into current developments and their application at Heraeus.
Another special highlight was the open discussion with Frank Stietz, who spoke about his first few months as CEO and shared personal insights into his new role.

On May 8 and 9, 2026, Heraeus Day brought together shareholders, representatives of the family councils and company management.
143 participants gathered on Friday, including shareholders, members of the Shareholders’ Committee and the Supervisory Board, as well as the heads of the operating companies.
Friday began with a tour of the Heraeus Precious Metals recycling facility and, in the evening, offered an opportunity for personal interaction during a festive event. A special highlight of the program was the introduction of the new members of the Board of Managing Directors and the ceremonial presentation of the Family Code to the new Youngsters.

The focus of Saturday’s event was the dialogue between shareholders and company management. In addition to current shareholder issues, the Heraeus 2030 Strategy and key developments in the areas of governance, human resources, innovation, compliance and artificial intelligence were presented. To conclude, CFO Barbara Gregor provided insights into the company’s financial performance.

On Saturday, June 13, the 2026 Shareholders’ Meeting took place with 96 participants.
A particularly moving moment was the farewell to Dr. Jürgen Heraeus as he stepped down from his active roles.
Michael Heraeus added a very personal touch by performing a spoken-word song in honor of Dr. Jürgen Heraeus. You can find the full text here: Einhorn-Lied.
As a token of appreciation, Dr. Jürgen Heraeus also received two glass unicorns, crafted by Marco Schneider, the training manager of the Quartz Glass division. These artistic, one-of-a-kind pieces symbolize his close ties to the company and its shareholders.
Dr. Jürgen Heraeus was honored with deep gratitude for his many years of dedication, his entrepreneurial foresight and his formative contribution to the development of the family-owned company.

Thanks to a donation from Heraeus shareholders, the Kesselstadt Youth Center in Hanau was able to purchase a new minibus. The vehicle replaces the previous bus, which had to be replaced after many years of service in youth outreach programs.
The minibus plays a vital role in the youth center’s work: it enables young people to participate in recreational activities, sporting events, and educational trips—regardless of their financial circumstances.
This investment strengthens a local institution dedicated to social participation, integration and the prevention of exclusion. This support underscores Heraeus’s connection to Hanau and its shared commitment to respectful coexistence in the region.
The shareholders had made the donation in response to the racist attack on February 19, 2020. The city has now found a use for the funds with the purchase of the VW minibus.

The “Broschüre Lebensereignisse" is intended to serve as a guide, providing you with a clear overview of how you can plan the succession of your ownership interests in Heraeus companies in accordance with the rules of the Family Code. It summarizes the most important principles and is designed to help you make the decisions that are right for your personal situation. For shareholders who reside outside of Germany, different laws and regulations may apply. You can read more about this at the end of the “Broschüre Lebensereignisse"

Dr. Jürgen Heraeus has decided to step down from the supervisory boards of Einhorn and Unicornis and resigned from his positions at the conclusion of the shareholders’ meetings on June 13, 2026.
At the subsequent constituent meeting of the Supervisory Board, Michael Heraeus was elected as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Dr. Nicolas Rose-André as Vice Chairman.
Furthermore, the Investment Committee of both companies was strengthened by the addition of Alexandra Heraeus and Friedrich Lass-Hennemann. In addition, Dr. Hendrik Leber will hand over the chairmanship to Thomas Etzel at the end of the year but will remain a member.
How have you settled into your new responsibilities and role?
JS: Very well, and with great respect for what has already been built up at Einhorn & Unicornis, especially regarding the underlying structures. Taking on new roles—not just during the year-end closing process—always means listening first and understanding the bigger picture. At the same time, I sense a lot of openness and a willingness to shape the future within the team, which has made settling in very easy.
TE: With humility, as well as a lot of fun and joy. For me, it was a seamless transition into the new role within a familiar environment. However, my responsibilities—for example, regarding the year-end closing—have increased significantly. I’m very glad that Jürgen, our colleagues and I have come together very quickly in the new team setup. Jürgen’s open and friendly nature is very helpful in this regard. This way, we can continue to positively develop the Einhorn and Unicornis together.
In three words, how would you describe yourself?
TE: Conscientious. Pragmatic. Down-to-earth
To elaborate a bit: I strive to understand issues and facts as comprehensively as possible. I’m satisfied when we find a good solution as a team that’s also easy to implement. Unfortunately, this isn’t always possible in the legal and tax jungle. I’m delighted by the successes of the team and its members.
JS: Analytical. Approachable. Solution-oriented.
In a bit more detail: I try to tackle issues in a structured way, get people on board, and ultimately not only deliver a thorough and—hopefully—transparent analysis, but also identify a viable next step.
How would you describe your colleagues in three words?
JS: Clear. Entrepreneurial. Reliable.
Timm brings a very pleasant blend of clarity and pragmatism. You quickly know where you stand and in the business world, that’s sometimes almost a luxury.
TE: Strategic. Astute. Inspiring
What I really appreciate about Jürgen is that when making decisions, we get straight to the core issues and don’t get bogged down in side issues (his typical response to these is “Check”) . This focus on the essentials and the drive for strategic improvement make working together extremely pleasant.
What plans have you already made for the further development of Einhorn and Unicornis?
TE+JS (Together):
What do you like to do in your free time?
JS: To my regret, I don’t spend enough time on purposeful reflection or exercise (especially bouldering and running), but I do go for a lot of walks with my dog(s) (currently one, formerly three).
TE: Above all, spending time with my family—my wife and my sons (ages 5 and 8). We’ve also started going on more hikes and bike rides again. In addition, my wife and I are opera lovers with two subscription series at the highly recommended Frankfurt Opera.
Vacation in the mountains or by the sea?
JS: Both, as long as there’s no snow in the mountains—or, more importantly, on the way there.
TE: Mountains, preferably with lots of snow for me as a passionate skier. A pure beach vacation in the summer doesn’t offer enough variety for me.
