Heraeus Medevio names Heiko Specht as President

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota, July 1, 2023 – Heiko Specht will take over as President of Heraeus Medevio, transitioning the role from Dr. Peter Reimer, effective July 1st, 2023.

In this role, Heiko will be leveraging his extensive experience in strategic leadership, growing market share, and continuous improvement to achieve Heraeus Medevio’s vision of improving 100 million lives every year. Heiko joined Heraeus in 2000 and has since held numerous global R&D and business leadership roles. Most recently, as Chief Commercial Leader, he was in charge of Medevio’s Product and Portfolio Management, Sales and Marketing, which included responsibility for the overall business strategy.

Dr. Reimer is joining the Heraeus Holding and has been appointed Member of the Heraeus Group Management Committee (GMC) starting July 1st, 2023.

In his new role, Peter Reimer will help to develop Medical Technology companies to maximize value creation through means like ecosystem building and identification of M&A targets.

Heiko studied at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany, and the Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon, US. He holds a Master´s Degree in Physics.
