At this year's Techtextil, Heraeus Precious Metals presents its innovative antimicrobial technology AGXX. The working mechanism of AGXX is based on a catalytic reaction with atmospheric humidity and oxygen and not on the release of substances such as metal ions. This means that the technology can be used already today but also in future in compliance with regulatory requirements. AGXX is particle-based and available in various product forms. Textiles functionalized with AGXX show excellent antimicrobial efficacy even after 100 washing cycles, expressing the high mechanical and chemical persistence of AGXX.
