Electrodes

Electrodes made of Platinum and platinum alloys distinguish themselves as electrode materials because of their high electrical conductivity and resistance to chemical attack.

Due to our experience in the field of manufacturing electrodes, we are able to supply high quality solutions to meet your demands.

Electrodes are made of pure Platinum or Platinum/Iridium 90/10. This material will ensure mechanical stability to make your application of the electrodes as convenient as possible. You can choose between four different designs of electrodes: Fischer, Winkler, Wölbing and Schöniger.

The different electrode designs:

Fischer Electrodes

Electrodes

Fischer Electrodes are sand blasted in order to increase the wire surface. This property makes these electrodes suitable for fast tests with high current densities in both, stirred and still electrolytes. As Fischer electrodes, we can supply each electrode sand-blasted, depending on your individual need.

To increase the surface area of the wire the electrode is sand blasted. Suitable for fast tests with high current densities in stirred or still electrolytes.

Winkler Electrodes

Electrodes

Winkler Electrodes are sand blasted in order to increase the wire surface. This property makes these electrodes suitable for fast tests with high current densities in both, stirred and still electrolytes. As Winkler electrodes, we can supply each electrode sand-blasted, depending on your individual need.

This design consists of a slit gauze cylinder in which a wire spiral is concentrically positioned.

Woelbing Electrodes

Electrodes

Wölbing Electrodes contain a gauze which is fixed stably to the central rod at the top and bottom via a solid cross. Similarly to all other designs, we supply different standard dimensions of Wölbing electrodes.

In this electrode the gauze is fixed stably to the central rod at the top and bottom via a solid cross.

Schoeniger Electrodes

Electrodes

Schöniger Electrodes are made of a pure platinum wire mesh bent into a U-shape. This kind of electrodes is primarily used for the rapid determination of halogens and sulphur.
