Heraeus Virtual Hydrogen Talks

Heraeus Virtual Hydrogen Talks: Securing the Iridium Supply Chain for the Hydrogen Economy

The hydrogen ramp-up continues, with substantial PEM Electrolysis capacity announcements throughout 2023, and this trend is still on the rise. Consequently, the demand for iridium, one of the scarcest precious metals and a critical component in PEM Electrolyzers, is also increasing. Key players in the supply chain are taking action, tackling the iridium challenge. To be more specific, how is this done? From mining to electrolyzers, what measures are being taken, and what remaining challenges require attention? Discuss with experts and your peers!
