However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are unable to conduct the event in its usual format this year. To nevertheless share with you the latest trends for Platinum Group Metals we are conducting a webinar. We are very pleased that Stephen Forrest of SFA Oxford and Dr. Jonathan Butler from Mitsubishi Corporation have accepted our invitation to be our guest speakers.

Stephen Forrest - Executive Chairman, Principal Consultant & Engineer, SFA (Oxford) Ltd
Stephen Forrest, one of the PGM industry’s foremost authorities and known universally for his value chain-spanning expertise, has spent a career working with a portfolio of major commodity companies and clients. His industry track record is significant, having worked as a Commodities Strategist, Fund Manager and Operations Manager, risen to the highest levels of mining management, conducted trade finance and capital-raising exercises in the Eastern Bloc and Western world, and accomplished Top Rating as a Mining Analyst covering the platinum-group metal, base metal and coal markets. In 2001, Stephen founded SFA (Oxford), a leading independent consultancy providing the analytical link between producer and end-user, processor and investor. As Chairman of SFA, Stephen heads a team of top-level analysts providing the industry with invaluable insights into tomorrow’s essential commodities.
Dr. Jonathan Butler - Head of Business Development, Mitsubishi Corporation International (Europe)
Dr. Jonathan Butler is Head of Business Development at Mitsubishi Corporation International (Europe) where he specialises in precious metals sales and commodity strategy, as well as new market development. He has strong market analytical background and proven track record in deal origination in leasing, trading and financing of key end user areas including pharmaceutical and fine chemicals, automotive, refining, physical silver and PGM supply and demand, as well as new market development and corporate venture capital investment.
Hans-Guenter Ritter - Global Head of Business Line Trading, Heraeus Precious Metals
Hans-Guenter Ritter has headed Global Trading at Heraeus since 2005, overseeing locations in Hanau, Hong Kong, Shanghai and New York. He joined Heraeus in 1989 as precious metals trader and was promoted to the position of chief trader with global responsibilities in 1992. Hans-Guenter Ritter started his professional career as precious metals trader at Degussa AG in Frankfurt.
Henrik Marx - Global Head of Business Line Trading, Heraeus Precious Metals
Henrik Marx has been heading the Global Trading activities jointly with Hans-Guenter Ritter since June 2020 and will take over full responsibility from January 2021 onwards. He has been working with Heraeus for over 15 years and has played a key role in various functions for HPM. In 2018 he was responsible for minted products as Director of Sales for Argor-Heraeus in Mendrisio (CH) after successfully managing Heraeus Ltd. in Hong Kong.
