Hanau, 13th February 2023

  • The award recognizes the company’s outstanding commitment during the Covid-19 outbreak in Shanghai, China
  • During this time, Heraeus Precious Metals has proven its long-term and stable cooperation as well as its enormous contributions to supply chain security while facing a challenging supply and demand environment

Heraeus Precious Metals was awarded the “Supplier Reliability Award” for its exceptional supply reliability, collaboration, and close partnership with Nouryon, one of the global specialty chemicals leaders.

The Catalytic Gauzes product line of Heraeus Precious Metals is recognized for its special support of Nouryon during the Covid-19 outbreak in Shanghai, China. In order to maintain supply chains and production, employees from Heraeus Precious Metals temporarily moved to the Shanghai factory premises. Through their commitment, they avoided production downtime. Furthermore, the company was able to successfully process all orders during this time and ensure on-time delivery to Nouryon.

“Without the continuous support of our employees in Shanghai during this special time, we could not have managed this challenge so well. We would thus want to sincerely thank them for their efforts and dedication,” highlighted Patrick Cui, Sales Director Process Catalysts at Heraeus Precious Metals (China).

At the official ceremony in Rome/Italy, Jens Hesse, Global Head of Sales Gauzes Catalysts & Services at Heraeus Precious Metals, together with Patrick Cui accepted the award. “Despite the many challenges during the pandemic and their influence on our supply chains, maintaining our supplier relationships was always one of our top priorities,” emphasized Jens Hesse. “It is therefore a big honor for us to be awarded with the Supplier Reliability Award by our partner Nouryon.”
