UV light is an energy-saving and environmentally-friendly solution to decompose odours and clean exhaust air. The process needs neither chemicals nor high temperatures. In combination with natural oxygen (O2), UV light creates highly reactive radicals and ozone.
These radicals bind to organic substances such as solvents and oxidise them. The air pollutants such as odours, solvents (VOCs) and chemicals are eliminated in the oxidation process.

Odours are reduced by 95% if UV oxidation is combined with other methods such as electrostatic precipitation, mechanical filtration or non-thermal plasma.
